Fractal Zoomer

If you are familiar with fractals and if you need a handy tool to work with them, you are very well advised to give Fractal Zoomer a try. There is much to like about this Chistos Kalonakis-developed application: the fact that it features more than 100 fractal types, the fact that it doesn’t need to be installed (which makes it portable), the fact that it allows you to play with lots of options, and last but not least, the fact that it is free software.

As mentioned above, Fractal Zoomer is a portable application that does not need to be installed. To get started with this application you just need to download and run a 2.1MB executable.

The fractal display takes up the main part of the interface; or to put it in other words, the fractal is displayed on the main panel of the Fractal Zoomer interface. At the top you will find a File Menu and a toolbar with buttons for several functions: zoom in and out, save fractals as image files, and many more. The interface’s simple layout makes it very easy to access the application’s features and functions.

And since we mentioned Fractal Zoomer’s features and functions, it’s worth noticing that even though it doesn’t ask for your hard earned money, it has a lot to offer: more than 100 fractal functions, zoom in/out, save fractals as images, general/fold/math planes, optimizations, play with the colors, Orbit tracking, Julia map, filters, and more.

Fractal Zoomer is free, it has an easy to navigate interface, and it works as advertised. I don’t see what’s not to like about this application!
